Boobs are truly fascinating. They serve as a lifeline for your little ones, and come with an abundance of surprises throughout the course of your life. It all starts back in the pre-teen stages when you find these new “things” on your body, and the surprises only increase after that. Soon, you notice that one nipple is larger than the other, your friend’s boobs don’t look anything like yours, and the selection of quality bras is just as interesting! Needless to say, your breasts aren’t just fat and nerve tissues! Here’s to all the interesting boob facts that you were never taught in your high school’s sex ed class.
One boob is larger
You’ve probably heard this boob fact before, but what you may not know is that statistically, it’s the left boob that is larger. Apparently, it has everything to do with science. The hypersensitivity of your immune system on the left side leads to a larger left breast. Now, you’re probably looking down and analyzing what’s going on underneath that fancy bra of yours, but you may not see anything at all. Sometimes the size difference is so miniscule, you’d never notice.
You’re wearing the wrong bra size
Call me crazy, but this bra fact deserves to have a week of its own within sexual education. The majority of women are wearing the wrong bra size right now, and this can lead to some serious problems from a lack of support, back pains, discomfort, irritation and the list goes on. The fit is the most important factor to finding the ultimate bra. So, head on over to our sizing chart and make sure that you get the most out of your bras and bosoms.
Your boobs will forever be changing
Great! I just encouraged you to get properly fitted for a new bra, and now I’m going to tell you that your boobs are bound to change several times throughout the course of your life. This is essentially why it’s important to know how to measure your bra size, so you can always do it whenever you notice a change. Whether you’re on your period, pregnant or simply getting older, those boobs won’t stay the same forever.
There’s a bra university
If you’re really into bras – and someone has to be or else we wouldn’t have such amazing, quality styles – then you may want to consider majoring in them! Hong Kong Polytechnic University has an entire lab dedicated to bra development.
Nipplegasms happen
Apparently there is such a thing as nipplegasms. It’s rare, but it can happen! When your nipples are stimulated, oxytocin gets released which is the same chemical that is associated with the contractions that cause regular orgasms. Who knew?
There are four different kinds of nipples
Nipples are nipples, or so you though. There are four different categories that nipples can fall into. There’s “normal” ones (and I use that term lightly) where the nipple is raised a couple millimeters, there’s nipples that lay flat, and there’s also inverted nipples and puffy nipples.
Some people have an extra nipple
This boob fact is very rare, but having an extra nipple is actually completely normal. In most cases, they aren’t even noticeable. So, if you have an extra nipple, consider yourself extra amazing!
Everyone looks at boobs
Whether straight, gay, bi, lesbian, transgender, blue, purple or yellow, you like to look at boobs. There have been many studies done that show that both men and women stare at people’s breasts. I could only imagine how much this statistic would increase if everyone was wearing Anita brands!
See, boobs aren’t just boobs! Whether you’re someone that has named their breasts, or simply want to get the best experience out of your bosoms, remember that it’s all about the bra. As a rule of thumb, always think about the fit, your size, quality and craftsmanship and your boobs will forever be happy!
